David J. Simon

Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer
David Simon established Twin Capital Management in 1988. Mr. Simon started his professional career practicing law in the Corporate Departments of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Rogers & Wells. In 1985 he joined the Risk Arbitrage Department of Spear, Leeds & Kellogg as head of risk arbitrage research, and in 1987 moved to Mercury Securities as head of their risk arbitrage research department. Mr. Simon is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of both Muhlenberg College and the University of Miami Law School, where he also served on the Law Review. Mr. Simon is a frequent guest commentator on CNBC and is a skilled speaker and lecturer. During his career he has been the recipient of several awards and honors, including recently being honored by The Young Jewish Professionals (YJP) with the “Equity Event Driven/Merger Arbitrage Award.” Twin Capital also won HFMWeek’s Best Merger Arbitrage Fund Award in 2012 and 2013. He is also a noted philanthropist and in 2001 Mr. Simon formed the David Simon Foundation which provides funding to charities focused on children and overcoming poverty.
